A nice mural by Cherie Jerrard from the Manchester School of Art (for this week’s Monday Mural meme) at Rise on
Deansgate. It's one in a series of An Everyday Reportage from cafes and coffee houses across Europe.
where I spent Sunday afternoon at a useful workshop on” music and

A weekend that was much about having fun in the sun, as well

Interesting meeting on Friday night with two of the NW Labour
MEPs and others involved in the north west UK and European anti-racist campaigns.
Saturday morning at the pictures- special screening at HOME where
we saw the award-winning short films of Sam Jones, Tim Sutton-Brand, Henry
Barlow and Alfie Robinson of Gorilla Film Making Productions.
Supporting the Free Palestine and Parents Defending Education
rallies in Piccadilly Gardens at lunch time then a sunny Saturday afternoon
catching up with friends at Barca. Evening we saw the very good film Eye in the
Sky (Aaron Paul, Helen Mirren)- scary stuff and moral dilemmas about drones and
military.
Sunday included an amble along the River Irwell looking at
greenery, giant hogweed and new buildings some of which were rather cool in
design but with steep, unaffordable prices for the local population.
Rise meeting space and work hub / Grindsmith coffee house
