  3. I always sensed that Manchester was a gloomy city with coal stained row houses with outdoor privies. Well, this does not look like Manchester to me so I must be wrong. I like your football team though. United, not City.

  7. Manchester still has its grey areas Garry- and its reputation for dark and satanic mills was well founded as it led the world into the industrial revolution in the 18th and 19th centuries- but there is plenty of beauty and culture (yes and sport!) here now...
