Lost or lounging at Lounge 10

Lounge Ten is/was a stylish restaurant on Tib Lane but mysteriously closed last summer, supposedly for a refurbishment. Their website promised a refurbishment and a reopening by last November but that didn't happen. I need to take a wander to see what is happening for myself...This photo is of it at its prime last summer.

  1. In the current economic climate (terrible) I guess anything is possible. Personally I would not want to be running any kind of business with a street presence right now.

  2. Apparently, in Australia the retail elements that are suffering are the sellers of 'things' whereas the sellers of 'experiences' (and that includes food and beverage) are holding up well.

This looks to be a very stylish place. It is sad when something like that closes yet Macers and Kentucky Fried do well.

  3. The black draped table and chairs are a stylish oddity for outdoor seating. Shame it has closed. I like fine dining, myself, but can't afford to keep places such as this in business!
Glad to have joining in with your signs, Chrissie.

May I point out that the use of both 10 and ten in the restaurant's name is a poor showing of inconsistency. Or maybe I am being too picky?

  8. Am wondering if it will ever reopen. I agree with the comment about the :”10” and the “ten”. It is definitely an interesting sign. genie

  9. It looked nice at its prime - I hope the refurbishment is only experiencing a setback...

  10. It has some style and some charm, so if it also had good food and a decent location, maybe it will be back. Or, the next proprietor will take advantage of the strengths and Manchester won't miss the earlier restaurant.
