ABC Wednesday: "V" is for Valette


I'm not sure if you are allowed to take photos inside the City Art Gallery. I certainly wouldn't use a flash but I couldn't resist a snap of the Adolphe Valette gallery. Adolphe Valette - Manchester's own French impressionist. More on Valette in previous posts of mine- also here. Taking part in "V" at ABC Wednesday .

    They certainly don't like you taking photos in the Lowry centre, but some galleries will allow it if you sign a form saying that they're only for your personal use. (Lowry was a pupil of Valette, of course)

    Last time I was in there (around 8 years ago) it was definitely forbidden but recently I've been assured it is now OK.
