Street Art: Spring in Stevenson Square

This small wall in Stevenson Square is regularly repainted by street artists. I have previously featured the spring summer 2011 look and that for autumn-winter 2011/12. Here we have the latest painting. My interpretation is that it's a combination of bubble shaped clouds, waves, hills and trees.

The wispy ghostly gentleman painted on the wall on the right is new. That wall's previous incumbent will appear on my blog on Good Friday, 6th April. Linked to Monday Murals at the Oakland Daily Photo blog.

  2. Very interesting mural - even the "boxes" at the top of the wall are included! The "ghostly gentleman" is very well done also!

  3. These ever evolving murals are a wonderful piece of street art - though I think I like the long boat on the best. It certainly would get me wandering down to that area just to see each new one... and once there, well, a bit of shopping might happen!

  4. Thanks for all your comments in my blog. I always see your pics, they are very interesting always. However, I can't comment - in general - because in my job some functions are blocked. Bye.

  10. I especially love the large face of the man. I wonder if it was paint or wheatpaste. Could it be by JR?

  12. Having a wall like this is like having an open air gallery. It must be fun to see the works change. The portrait is definitely commanding and a little mysterious. What a fun find. Thanks for participating in this week's Monday Mural.

  13. Always nice to have the streets brightened with some colourful art rather than tagging and samey graffiti.
