Weekend Reflections: Canals' Junction

This is Marple Marina, where the 15 mile long Peak Forest Canal (ahead) joins the Macclesfield Canal (26 miles long) to the right. From Manchester's eastern suburbs of Ashton-under Lyne the Peak Forest Canal heads off into the stunningly beautiful Peak District, culminating at Bugsworth Basin. You can have a virtual photogaphic journey along it here.

  2. Beautiful reflections - so incredibly crisp and clear. There is nothing quite like a water scene.

  7. Very nice perspective. I like how the boat mask the reflection of the tree ; it looks sheltered by it, something like that.

  8. What a stunning photo, sorry I have not commented much recently but I do always call by for a catch up. Time has been rather short recently with the other half in hospital for so long! What a coincidence that we share a love of Tywyn, maybe we will get to be here at the same time sometime.
