Monday Murals: The summer space race

I just love this piece of street art- in my opinion it's the best I have seen on this concrete folly that is regularly repainted (see my posts of the past two Mondays, 14th and 21st May). It's a simple but effective use of the space - pun intended...

It's forms an art collective’s revolving exhibition. Every three months new pieces of artwork for the city are created around Stevenson Square: http://outhousemcr.tumblr.com

  1. Ah Chrissy... this space on a concrete space mural is well done, but it doesn't pull at my heartstrings quite like the first two.

  2. Well, I like red, so that part is appealing - but otherwise, it doesn't have as much to offer as the others, I think. However, it is nice that they have this revolving/evolving/changing art form!

  3. It feels like a dream world to me. Chrissy you are lucky to have a revolving mural in your neighbourhood that keeps on changing.

  4. I really like this too! It's fun when people come up with creative ways of disguising those kinds of buildings. :)

  8. Who says deep space has to be black? Artists follow their own instincts and logic. Your Stevenson Square is a gold mine for murals. You'll never run out of material for Monday Mural. Thanks for participating in this meme.

  9. There is something to be said for painting ugly things with interesting images and in interesting colours. It's a matter of hiding or celebrating them, isn't it!

  11. Hi there - I think that’s a nice use of the space (as you say!)

    And much better than grey!
