The Sandstone Trail stretches for 34 miles (55 km) across Cheshire and north Shropshire. It meanders across the still largely green and pleasant English county of Cheshire from the ancient market town of Frodsham on the Mersey estuary to Georgian Whitchurch in rural Shropshire: http://www.sandstonetrail.co.uk/

ReplyDeleteHello Chrissy! I have been swamped with work, and not checking in blogs, but decided to take a few moments this morning.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo! Is that close to Manchester?? Both of my daughters will have phone numbers in Europe. One has an international phone (as she will be in New Zealand later in the summer) I will get their numbers and email them to you. I will have your number and hopefully, we (my husband and I) will have a working phone when we arrive. We are very excited! The girls leave tomorrow for a week in France before meeting us in Manchester!
Bonjour Chrissy!
ReplyDeletewow you got a fabulous shot, I love the texture in this image and the mix of colors!Very well captured!

Makes one feel time.
ReplyDeletePlease have a good new week ahead.
Awesome photograph! Love the colors and the texture. I feel like I can almost reach out and touch it.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cool, rough rock pattern - makes me want to hop right on the trail!
ReplyDeleteGreat contrast with the green and the color of the rock.
ReplyDeleteIntriguing. Do you literally walk on sandstone?
ReplyDeleteYes, we literally walk on sandstone for many parts of it. This part of the trail is about 30 miles and a 40 minutes drive south westwards from Manchester city centre.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots, all of them, but this one, I loved the most.
