Beat poets and music

 

I'm down south for a couple of days for work, hence the delay on the blog. Before I left I popped into the fascinating European Beat Studies Conference being held at the Wonder Inn. I particularly enjoyed Marion Jago's talk on the Canadian beat scene in the 1950s with its scattering of jazz clubs and beat poets around the country.
