Teutonic toy tower...

I am sure that there must be a proper name for this large wooden Germanic tower at the heart of the markets on Manchester's Exchange Square but I cannot discover it. Any ideas? Until I know better I shall call it a Weihnachtsmarkt großen hölzernen kreisverkehr...

My latest guest post for Smitten By Britain is now up, titled A Tour Of London’s Christmas Lights.

  1. It doesn't matter what it's called. There's so much to see and discover.

  2. I had a handmade on of these as a child (obviously smaller scale version haha!) I remember calling it the Christmas Candle Windmill Nativity Scene? I'm not sure, but I think they're great!

  3. I also had a much smaller version that was (I thought, Swedish) it wasn't quite as detailed as this one, though.
