Worker of the world?

Happy May Day to all workers (and those made redundant or facing redundancy) everywhere!

One of the 100 Antony Gormley sculptures on Crosby Beach, Merseyside (formerly Lancashire). This is, therefore, 1% of the 2007 installation called "Another Place."

  1. I've always wanted to go to Crosby and see these but have never been able to.

  2. There's 100 of them? Wow!! Are they all fellers? Um ... do they rust?

  3. Yes, 100 of them and all naked in the 6ft+ (?) image of the sculptor Antony Gormley. See also the solitary "Angel of the north" over in North East England at Gateshead. Don't seem to rust but I'm sure the sea salt can't help. I will return again to check one day ;-)

  8. I saw these 2 years ago and this year I would love to spend the day there watching the tide go in and out over them. It is an amazing sight!
