Fruits of the season

Friday evening was a wonderfully sunny affair, and a hike up to Rivington Pike took us through magical woodlands such as this. We spent a merry hour picking blueberries up there too. The blue stained fingers were worth it.

I'm back home after a few days in sunny Sussex by the sea, and inland. I've at least one more summer blast to come, with the Number Six Festival from 1 September in Portmeirion.

  1. It looks like a pleasant place to spend time in.

  2. That's a brilliant area, I often go up there for a (frequently muddy!) run.

  3. Spookily enough, I too went to Rivington Pike on the same Friday. I went in the afternoon, walking from Belmont to Horwich via Winter Hill. With such fantastic views, I need to do that run again.
