Sixties sunshine at City Heights #citydailyphoto
Yesterday saw one of the city's hottest September days ever, followed by a storm and floods in Manchester. It was sunny again at the 23 storey City Heights on Victoria Bridge Street this morning.
I've always liked the rounded windows on this apartment building. It was designed and built by Leach, Rhodes and Walker for the Inland Revenue 50 years ago in 1966 and now is an apartment block from the 11th floor upwards, with the lower floors being a hotel.
Beautiful image, I like the perspective.
ReplyDeleteQuite imposing from below.
ReplyDeleteI think there must be someone who love design and style living up there.
