Monday Murals takes us today to The Font bar on New Wakefield Street. They serve a decent selection of cheap and cheerful cocktails from just £2 and a wide range of German wheat beers, plus many more, and food too. There are DJs most nights of the week. It's a good atmosphere whether it's sparse and quiet enough to hold a conversation or in its livelier late night moments.
Very funky little mural too - it sounds like it's got a great atmosphere!
ReplyDeleteThe Font's website says this is by an Austrian artist named Frau Isa. Her style reminds me a little bit of William Gorey's work. Sort of a weird, macabre fairytale style. After a couple of those 2£ cocktails, the weirdness probably starts to soften. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

Funky ... at first I thought the figures were surrounded by leaves, and then noticed that two of them are critters.
