Goodly Godlee Observatory
A worm's eye view of the Godlee Observatory, where the Manchester Astronmomical Society (founded in 1903) meet weekly. There are public lectures too from time to time.
Imposing building, wonder if the observatory is still used or if there is too much light pollution?
ReplyDeleteIt's still used though I'm sure light pollution is a problem. I have an invite to go so will report back one day...
DeleteThis is an intriguing old building. (And I hope you didn't get too dirty lying on the ground to take this shot!)
ReplyDeleteI love the angle in this image, you got a perfect composition. The building is gorgeous!
ReplyDeletehugs and a nice week ahead,
Léia
The old and the new! Sometimes they clash and sometimes they coexist nicely. I like how you used the plants to bring it all together. Very nice!
