Aspire

The spire of St. Peter's church on Ashley Road in Hale, which was completed in 1892. The current vicar is Libby Lane, who took over after the passing of Michael Robinson in 2006. There is a moving memorial to the late vicar in the churchyard.

  1. Lovely church building indeed, though bittersweet for me. The decision to end my marriage of fifteen years was taken in its grounds in 2009...

  2. Get that blue sky! My visit to Manchester on Saturday only managed grey skies. I seem to forever mistime my visits. my mum's favourite saying is always 'You should have come yesterday - the sun was cracking the flags!'The red spire looks terrific against that sky.

  7. Hi there – that’s such a warm colour. And a nice contrast with the sky.

  15. Yes, the spire rises majestically into that lovely sky, and its clocks fit beautifully with the design.
