Cuba Cafe Bar ~ Port St, Dean St. and Faraday St.

Cuba Cafe is a small, fun club, located in Manchester's Northern Quarter since 1998, well before the area achieved its bohemian kudos.
Cuba Cafe prides itself that “it is really like being in Cuba with all its old radios, pictures and instruments from the 1940-50s” www.cubacafe.co.uk

  1. Che is one of those special icons, isn't he? And that famous shot of him is the one that people want to use in any publicity.

In my part of the world, we have a 'Revolution' bar, and a 'Castro' restaurant, which both use the same photo prominently. The fact that, apart from its red colour and the photo of Che, the bar has no other reference to revolution at all, and the fact that the restaurant confuses Castro and Che doesn't seem to matter to the owners! It's as though the big deal for them is having that famous iconic pose in their promotion.
